Caption - Deutsches Reichsbahn (DR) BR 01.2 4-6-2 01 2118-6 is seen at Dresden Hauptbahnhof in August 1976 after having arrived with an express from Berlin Ostbahnhof. In 1976 there was a mixture of diesel and steam traction on this service. These impressive locomotives numbered 231 examples built between 1926 and 1938. Rather surprisingly they were two-cylinder locomotives. Their 20 ton axle load meant they had limited route availability.
