Ferrocarril de Sóller motor-car no.1 at Palma
Caption - The Ferrocarril de Sóller is a three-foot gauge railway from Palma to Sóller on the island of Majorca. Electrified at 1200 volts DC and using wooden bodied motor-cars dating from electrification of the line in the late 1920s. The route passes through the mountains of Tramuntana via a tunnel some 2.8 km long. The image shows motor-car no.1 hauling a train into the station at Palma in October 2016. All the rolling stock is beautifully maintained and retains a period atmosphere.
