Caption - The Ruben Martinez Villena sugar mill in Cuba had a couple of interesting locos including no. 1112 an elderly 0-4-2T built by Baldwin in 1878 (works number 4502). This image was taken in March 1981 with the loco 103 years old and still very much active shunting in the mill complex. Like all visits to sugar mills in the early 1980s little was known about the locos in use so this centenarian was a wonderful surprise. The loco is now preserved and steamable.
