15 inch gauge Cagney 4-4-0 at Railway Workshops, Havana
Caption - Taken during a visit to the Cuban Railway workshops in Havana, this 15-inch gauge 4-4-0 no.26 was probably built by Cagney, USA, in the early 1900's. Not the prettiest loco, it was functional and hauled a decent rake of relatively modern passenger coaches. The tender is branded Tren Congreso PCC (Partido Comunista de Cuba) which is self-explanatory. The railway was located within the grounds of the workshops and was, if I remember rightly, about 500 metres in length. Its primary use was as a source of entertainment for the workshop staff and their children although other visitors were apparently permitted to ride the train.
