Caption - Indian Railways broad gauge WDM2 class Co-Co Diesel Electric 17722 heads the Himagiri Express out of Varanasi. This loco was based at 'Diesel Shed Howrah' in Calcutta as proudly displayed on the headboard. Built in 1976 at the Diesel Locomotive Works in Varanasi, this loco has a non-standard front end which was only featured on a small number of this large class of engines. Photograph taken in December 1978.
