Caption - Rail Operations Group class 47 47815 leads an empty stock movement south through Stafford. Originating at Allerton is heading to Long Marston where the stock will be stored surplus to requirements. This Brush Type 4 was delivered in July 1964 as British Railways D1748 so is approaching its 53rd birthday this summer. I can remember seeing these locos when first delivered in two-tone green and working front-line services.
