Uzina Sao Jose sugar mill steam locos

Uzina Sao Jose sugar mill near Goitacazes in Brazil had a limited metre gauge railway operation with a Sharp Stewart 4-4-0 of 1892 and an Orenstein & Koppel 0-10-0 Luttermoller in use. These two very special locos were kept in immaculate condition and were the pride and joy of the men who used them. Both locos were wood burners and used to shunt wagons of refined sugar from the mill onto the main RFFSA main line. What an afternoon of watching steam in action!
