Finnish State Railways have an almost Swiss style efficiency including a class of Swiss built locos. Helsinki Central station is the hub of long distance trains operating throughout the country in addition to an extensive S-bahn network. The sole international service operates to St Petersburg in Russia using modern high speed EMUs.
