Metre gauge from Tua & Regua

Portugal - 1977

This gallery focuses on the Portuguese metre gauge lines from Tua to Bragança via Mirandela and from Regua in the Douro Valley to Chaves. At this time all trains were steam hauled using 2-4-6-0T and 0-4-4-0T Mallets and 2-6-0Ts. In addition to the interesting locos the rolling stock was also quite ancient with some wooden clerestory coaches still in use.
