Villeneuve St. Georges loco depot (Paris)

France still has large locomotive sheds with a wide variety of motive power. Villeneuve St Georges lies to the south of Paris and provides motive power for lines radiating from Gare de Lyon and Gare Austerlitz. In addition it also sees freight and shunting locos too. One of the features of this shed is the large roundhouse. At weekends the shed is almost full and on this visit 113 locos were present. Worthy of note are the many different liveries to be seen.
